Liechtenstein Presidency of the Council of Europe
Liechtenstein has already held the rotating six-month presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe twice before, in 1987 and 2001. Its current, third presidency began on 15 November 2023. This means Liechtenstein is involved in the Council of Europe's landmark decisions and is responsible for implementing the Council of Europe's objectives and priorities. The tasks of the country holding the presidency also include preparing and chairing the weekly meetings of the Committee of Ministers. Liechtenstein is represented in the Council of Europe's most important body by Minister of Foreign Affairs Dominique Hasler. As is the practice of her counterparts, she deputises her Permanent Representative in Strasbourg, Ambassador Domenik Wanger, for the regular meetings.
